End of the Year TAG Announcements

I hope everyone has been enjoying this beautiful Sunday afternoon. Before the week got started we have a few important PGTAG announcements and I wanted to share them with you.

PGTAG End of the Year Meeting w/ Board Chair Jacobs

Join us for our final meeting of the year with School Board Chair Verjeana Jacobs on May 8th at 7PM at Longfields Elementary School (330 Newkirk Avenue in Forestville). Chair Jacobs will be joined by the TAG Coordinator at Kenmoor Elementary School to talk about the budget holdup, new boundary lines, TAG programs for the coming year, and any other questions you might have. PGTAG 2012 Elections Run for the Board

We need you to help make sure that the TAG program not only continues to be supported by PGCPS but grows in the future. If you want a say in future boundary lines, ensure we grow the number of teachers TAG trained, and support for TAG families then you have to step up today. This is your chance to make TAG great!

If you are interested in being part of next year’s board nominate yourself at http://tinyurl.com/pgtagboard2012. Being a board member only consumes a few hours a month. We will collect all nominations until May 9th, then begin the elections. Any list member can run–so if you’re reading this right now, you’re eligible to be a PGTAG board member.

According to our bylaws—all candidates are running for the 5 seats on the Board of Directors. After the election the board will elect a President and Treasurer for a term of one year beginning in June.

As always if you have any questions please feel free to let me know.

Sincerely,

Joseph

Rev. Joseph Lynn Kitchen Jr.
